One of the most popular holiday destinations in the Indian Ocean, the gorgeous island country of Seychelles, will allow entry to vaccinated travellers from India. While countries across the world have banned entry of travellers from India, Seychelles has allowed travel from South East Asian countries, including India, albeit with suitable restrictions.
How can you travel to Seychelles now?
As announced by the Public Health Commissioner of Seychelles in the press, for a resident of India to travel to Seychelles, they will have to have completed both their doses of the Covid vaccine. Also the vaccinated travelers must have completed two weeks after their second dose before getting their permit to enter Seychelles along with proof of vaccination.
What are the next steps?
This set of documentation will have to be submitted to get a Health Travel Authorization from the Seychelles administration. Also the travelers have to compulsorily carry a negative RT-PCR test report, no older than 72 hours before departure. With all these valid documents, a quarantine will not be required on landing at Mahe (the airport island of Seychelles).
What about children?
For kids under 18 years who aren’t eligible for vaccination in India, they can enter with a negative RT-PCR report. While there are no movement restrictions in Seychelles or a minimum period of stay, the travelers will have to necessarily follow the Covid related health protocols like wearing masks, maintaining social distancing etc.
So if you haven't got your vaccine yet, and are itching to travel, this incentive is something that you can definitely not miss.
