Here are my top 4 offbeat places in Mahabaleshwar.
I started from Pune early morning 6.30 am and headed straight to my resort in Old Mahabaleshwar-Tapola road and came across one gem of a road. Thi road is a picturesque forest laden road with trees all along, lesser traffic makes it easier to stop by and click amazing pictures.
This resort is located inside dense forests with a nearby strawberry garden and small village. Though may not be that posh, it has all the comforts one need to stay overnight and one can chill and relax without much hustle bustle.
The property is big with amenities like swimming pool and private garden to the private huts and cottages. I took a deluxe cottage overlooking the valley. And not to mention the karaoke room or should I say LOL room. The food is delicious and inexpensive as compared to other resorts in Mahabaleshwar.
A tall watchtower overlooking the property and a garden full of flowers are an absolute treat to watch for hours and hours.
The best time to enjoy is early morning when you can witness the rising sun, the cold breeze and do yoga for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The property is not well known to the outside world and hence it surely asks for a visit.
Deluxe cottage per night - Rs 5k to 8.5k based on season
Please opt for strawberry picking rather than visiting the overcrowded sunset sunrise points, I was fortunate enough to pick fresh strawberries and it was ana amazing experience. The freshly picked strawberries are sweeter and cheaper than you spend on a box of strawberry bought from Mapro Garden.
Mahabaleshwar is incomplete without paying a visit to Mapro garden. It houses a big open garden restaurant with retail outlets to buy Mapro stuffs.
Do try the fresh strawberry with cream and move to less explored areas of the garden to spend your amazing evening amidst nature.
