This place is best to visit in monsoon and post monsoon. However I have visited this place in summers.
It's an one day trek so we started our journey by catching early morning train to Asangaon (central line). From Asangaon we took the private cab to base village which is Dehene. If you are new and don't have any idea about routes than you can hire local person from base village to guide you. Everyone was excited for the trek but as we start trekking heat of the summer killed that excitement very quickly but that was for the small amount of time, once we entered in the forest area temperature slightly dropped and that helped us to catch our breath.
Halfway through the climb there is a ashram called "Valmiki Ashram", we took the break at this ashram (be aware of the monkeys if you are munching any snacks near to ashram) after small break we started our climb again and it took us around 2hrs to reach on top where we had our lunch and as usual photo session is must. I mean what's the fun if you have not captured the best moments of your life.
Here I want to thanks Sahyadri Wanderers for arranging such adventurous trek very well. If you want to plan any trek or campings. DM on below given page they arrange the treks in affordable prices. https://instagram.com/sahyadri_wanderers?igshid=sauuvzi7coyq
