Tadiandamol in itself is a beauty!
The trek roughly takes 4-5 hours (may vary depending upon the pace) and is about 14kms to the peak. You'll need a forest permit for the trek which will cost you Rs.100. You can hire a guide if you want to. We did.
We were a group of three girls and it was our first big trek. The tour guide we hired was friendly and easy to communicate with. He educated us about the wildlife there and told us the tricks and hacks to climb up and down the hill.
The first half of the trek is easier than the second. Carry enough fluids to keep yourself hydrated as it is a tricky trek if you're a beginner.
Treking your way up the hill, you'll find a forest kind of an environment which is too magical to imagine. There's greenery everywhere. Logs fallen and roots stretching the length of the ground. This is also one of the difficult and fun part of the trek.
Moving further there are no trees or plants where you could rest. The inclination goes upto 60-70% and hence takes a little more time than usual. The ground is a mixture of rocks and sand but the experience you get is indescribable.
All the hardships you face throughout the trek pays off once you reach the peak and look at the beautiful view. The clouds, the fog, mountain peaks and the greenery is all you can see. You get filled with a sense of calm. You can rest for a while, have food and trek back home saying lovely goodbyes to the wonderful experience!
Note: Plastic bags or covers carried are not to be thrown anywhere during the trek and you'd be charged for it if so.
