The destination in question here is surrounded by lush green mountains that also give a fjord-like look from one side. The lake with deep blue water gives the perfect t ambiance as well. The site is on private land so getting too close to it can be a task. But the place can still be seen from far away and is a total blessing to the eyes.

County Wicklow is again on the list. Basically, you can cover few spots by going to a common destination, cool! The place is actually formed just 50 years ago but is stretched over a good 500 acres across the Wicklow Mountains. The journeys and the explorations by the Ragnar and the Viking Norsemen were mostly done here. Especially during its third season!

Luggala Estate, County Wicklow

To be honest, maybe just plan a trip to County Wicklow and you will get to see most of the Viking's locations! Luggala Estate that is owned by the Guinness family played a heavy role in the Kattegat settlement. The surrounding shots for the majestic maintains are mostly from this place. It being in the private property might not be fully accessible but it still will give you some 9th century Vikings feelings. A must-visit this one for sure!

Powerscourt Waterfall, County Wicklow

The 400 foot high Powerscourt Waterfall was the one where we were introduced to Aslaug. The place, as in the name, is in county Wicklow. The whole area of 47 acres and its mesmerizing gardens actually dates back to the 13th century! You sure will get some magical feeling while visiting this place. The fall can sure hypnotize you!

Nuts beach, County Kerry

Remember those eye-capturing scenes of medieval Northumbria, well, this place is the one where they were shot. This beach is an absolute beauty to look at. This is along the Wild Atlantic way and gets its name from the nuts that used to bathe there. Getting to the beach can be an adventure on its own. The way to reach the beach is either by boat or by a very steep lane along the cliff!

River Boyne, County Meath

The scene dealing with the journey to reach Paris was shot here. River Boyne played a vital role in the entire fourth season through the water journey. However, the parts of lands to denote Paris and the walls near the Slane castle were added later. But the water still can give the same feel!
