Tashi viewpoint is located in Tashi, 8KM far from the main centre of Gangtok. It is famous for a beautiful view of sunset and Kanchenjunga mountains. You have to climb a few stairs to reach the point from the main road. But sunset and mountains view depends on the weather as the sky should be clear of clouds.
There are multiple handcrafts, tea,fruit-chats, shops. There is also a shop where you can rent local clothes for photography. You can visit here on your way to North Sikkim or Hanuman Tok.

Like every hill station, the best time to visit Gangtok is in summers but you can also visit here in winters ( off-season so less crowd and cheap rates) to enjoy the snowfall. The Best thing to do in Gangtok is going for a 3D/2N tour of North Sikkim.
