The Hanuman Point nearby is a place from where you get an awesome view of the whole hill station filled with natural beauty.

Junnar does not have a train station, and the nearest station is Pune, at a distance of 74 kms from Junnar. There are direct flights available to Junnar from Mumbai. Travel by flight takes about 1 hour.

The best views of the Bhandardara Lake and the Randha Waterfall can be enjoyed from this place. The lake was formed when the Wilson Dam was being constructed over the Pravara River. The waters when left from the dam form narrow rivulets here. Though not in a very good condition, a walking tour is worth here. The other times you can spend angling the sides of the dam. From Satara, one can reach Panchgani by Maharashtra State Transport buses or hire a private vehicle.Both private and state-owned buses make daily trips to Panchgani from Mumbai. How to get there: From Mumbai and Pune there are many trains and buses available to reach Lonavala. Once you are at Lonavala station you can hire a taxi or private cab to reach Rajmachi fort.

This is a crater which is said to have been formed long ago when a large meteorite crashed on the earth forming this crater. This is now however a trekkers’ destination and one of the best places to visit near Mumbai within 400 km. Trek route is quite difficult for new trekkers. It is a slippery way with an undulating terrain. The steps you see here are artificial and tend to crumble away very easily. As you get successful to enter the crater, you can visit the temples of Renukadevi, Ganapati, Daityasudana and Gaimukh. Legends also say that Emperor Akbar used to bath with soaps made from the green waters of this crater cum lake.

Hospet to Hampi distance is just 13 km and takes around 27 minutes to reach by road. There are no direct flights play between Mumbai and Hampi. The most convenient way to reach Hampi by flight from Mumbai is to take a flight to Goa and then take a bus or a cab to reach Hampi. Goa to Hampi distance is 316 km. Alternatively, you can also fly to Belgaum and then take the road route from Belgaum to Hampi. Belgaum to Hampi distance by road is 266 km.
