We had planned our trip from Pune so the easiest and the most cost effective way was to go to bangalore via flight and catch a overnight bus from bangalore to ooty. Our flight booking, hotel stays and bus tickets costed us around 16-18 K and autos, taxi, bus to commute within the cities costed us around 2K. The overall trip including shopping, meals, travelling costed us 25 K for 2 people. Every place was worth especially the shooting point and coonoor tea estate. Its magnificent and I guess we chose the best season to visit this beautiful hill station (13th June - 17th June). Monsoon usually starts after 20th June and its not at all recommended to visit the place after that. Following are the day wise pictures of our trip.
What a beautiful sight and experience! On the first day, we had planned to visit Dodabetta peak, Tea garden, botanical garden, tea factory and ooty lake etc. Unfortunately the dodabetta peak was closed for the entire weekend due to maintenance. But we had our fare share of enjoyment at all the other places.
