2k19 Monsoon in Maharashtra

2019 monsoon is remembered as "Monsoon Maharashtra ".

With all energy and enthusiasm ,5  of us started planning one month before as there were so many things involved in the trip..to plan , to book tickets etc etc...

Pune , Lonavala , Lohgad fort , Ajanta , Ellora , Mahabaleshwar , Raigad fort , Bhimashankar :D were the places which I was willing to visit for 5 days Aug 14th - 18th :) Too much for 5 days as the places are very far from each other , but still I will tell how we managed and whether we covered all places !!

We had booked a flight from Bangalore to Pune for Aug 14th 1 am.
We reached Pune around 2 and then we went to Aurangabad via bus. It's almost 5 hours from Pune.

As soon as we reached Aurangabad bus station , we were happy that we had booked a hotel which was only 800m from the bus station called Hotel Atharva . We had booked through Goibibo..
The standard check in time is 12pm , but we reached Aurangabad at 9am , and they allowed us to check in :) it was good enough, nice hospitality , helpful they were .

After freshening up and yummy breakfast, we decided to hire a cab to roam around which was suggested by hotel people .the first place we went to is Grushneshwar ( one of the Jyotirlinga ) .
When I heard this , I was super excited as covering all Jyotirlinga is one of my bucketlist and it was not even in our plan , but it's happening..I was like "Yay" :D

With the blessings of God , we headed towards Ellora - World's heritage site :) we were aw'd with the 21 caves , which then represented Hinduism , Jainism , Buddhism .

From Ellora caves , we went to Daulatabad fort , and then mini Taj Mahal..
