My motive is to change the perception of travelers who are going to Bangkok just because they think Bangkok is a sex city. When I was telling about my trip that I am going to Bangkok for my birthday alone. Then first question came why Bangkok? For Sex.Then first suggestion I got it that have a Thai massage and see ping pong show. I was really pissed off with this mentality. That really how bad Image Thailand has. It was my first international trip and I choose Thailand because firstly I want to change the Image of Thailand and Secondly I had limited money. Everyone told me to opt for package for 6-7 days for the instance I thought It is okay!! But when I go through the package they do have everything on schedule and It was ₹36k for 5 day. Important thing for me was that everything is fixed. I want to go there as an explorer not as a tourist. Glad to tell you that I completed my 15 days trip in whole country within ₹35k with lot more better experiences, bunch of new friends and many interesting stories.
I started my trip from Delhi to Bangkok. I took the Indigo for the flight. Divided my Bangkok ride with a 5 hour layover in Kolkata. When you are in India, we should take advantage for these layovers to explore more cities. We know that how much these layovers can be useful and money saver for us. My flight price was of 160$ for a round trip. For Indian on arrival visa is available but I recommend you to take online visa. They have two visa on arrival visa is for 2000Baht and 2250baht for Express visa for 15 days. In 2000 Baht you have to wait for at least 2-3 hours in queue. And if you want to skip the queue then 250 for that and 2000 baht for the visa. So, It's better to issue it online. But now no visa is required for the Thailand till 31 Oct 2019. You will save your precious 4600₹.
As I was a solo traveler I went for the hostels. And I didn't regret it as well. . Expensive hotel could had imbalanced my trip. I was excited to find companion this was one of the reason to take hostel as well. I was lucky that I found 3 fantastic companion for my birthday party.
Area to stay In Bangkok is Sukhumvit. If you want affordable hostel, hotels, top notch restaurants, and lively nightlife, Sukhumvit is the place to go.
This is wherever several expats live and wherever tourists will notice the highest facilities in Bangkok.
Many cosmopolitan clubs, and restaurants line Sukhumvit while calm and atmospheric cafes are hidden in the so is leading off the main street.
The Sky train runs the length of Sukhumvit creating it straightforward to explore.
What to do In Bangkok:
Date 2 And 3
Start your fresh day with famous monuments. Best way to go there to take ferry. It's couple train stations away from the city. Emerald Buddha, & Reclining Buddha. These are very close to each other. they dazzling complex of temples, palaces, and gardens as you head to Bangkok's Grand Palace with an experienced guide.
Along the means, check out the gilded decorations at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, see the largest collection of Buddha images at the Temple of the Reclining Buddha.
Day 4 started with lots of message's and call's. Yeah!! It was my 25th birthday. I really wants thanks to my strangers who became good friends. They really made my day with love and party. I didn't expected that, This would be my best Birthday. Where I came alone, no friends for party Bla bla.
But It is my best birthday till now.
Vertigo and Moon Bar Rooftop
We spent that night at the top house on the 61st floor Banyan Tree Hotel .
Delighted in alfresco feeding at this subtle outdoor grill and bar—the initial of its kind in Asia.
Little Bit expensive but this place deserve it.
Day 5
Floating Market Tour
Taken boat tour on a peaceful canal that weaves through Thailand's picturesque rural area.
Its starts every morning at 6am. It's for the early birds.
Experienced the approach to life of locals on these interconnected waterways, and take in the daily bustle at Damnoen Saduak, popular floating market selling colourful handicrafts.
Chatu Chak market is the place where you can do cheap shopping. Market is easy accessible by the bus and metro. Closest metro station is Mo-chit. Market is full of antic things, fashionable clothes, and fancy things. Good place to buy souvenir for the friends and relatives.
Juices and shakes are really amazing. I eat only chicken, and street is full of food which you will never prefer. But I tried this of course It wasn't planned at all. Still I have the taste of it in my mouth.
Also, Sukhumvit is legendary for 2 red-light districts, Nana Plaza on Soi four But still there are many other clubs for drinks, clubbing and live music.
Prostitutes on the streets are a common sight and some people may be put off by the blatant sex industry. Beware of shemale's.
Neighborhood Attractions: Benjasiri Park, Khlong Saen Saeb, Soi Arab, WTF Gallery and Café, Cheap Charlie’s. Recommendation: Hide Bangkok hostel with free unlimited breakfast. Price 8$ Main Cities are far from the airport. There are many sharing nice buses and cabs available till Sukhumvit. Don't take private cabs. It will cost you around 1000-1200 baht. The cabs of Thailand are far better than normal Indian cabs. If you will take cab that you will surely you will waste your money. Bangkok has good connectivity of Buses, ferry and Metro rail (MRT). They have one day passes or call it as Rabbit for MRT. If you are trouble and have to take it cab. Then use GRAB application for cheaper rides. Grab is like car pooling app.
After spending four wonderful days in a amazing city of bangkok.
Then I took the bus for Chiang mai at 6pm. Buses are available from the Mo-chit BTS. Instance buses are available from there. Bus takes 10-hours to reach Chiang mai. Bus fare is of 550 baht in AC bus. with a pillow, blanket and with a Thai dinner.
Day 6 in Chiang Mai
I reached at 5 am over there. Hostel lane was 5 km.. Just because I reached early. Taxi driver were asking me for 500 baht for just 5 km. I prefer walking at that time as a morning walk. It sound 5 km is big a distance but when we go for jogging. We usually cover that much distance easily. Then why not, when you doing something good for your health and saving money as well.
Doi Suthep
I want to share an experience here. Solo traveler should be flexible and must go with the flow. It was my first hitch hiking experience ever. We were at Doi suthep. And we were already ribbed off by the tuk tuk driver. From Chiang mai to Doi suthep it was 50 baht on the sharing basis. But he charged 1000baht for both of us for private drop. And the driver promised us that he will wait for us until we come. But we became little bit late, so when we cane he already left. And everyone had their own vehicle to go down. We almost planned to stay with the locals. And suddenly she said we should try hitch hiking. I said okay!! This will be interesting. I thought it would be easy task hahaha...I said go and seat I ll stop the car. Believe me,No One had stopped almost 10 vehicles passed almost through me but they didn't stopped at all.She was laughing and teasing me a lot. She said let me try. She took the lead and very first Jeep stopped for us. I still remember the way driver used the brakes. Thanks to her. Travelling brings us many experiences that we could not find in normal life. When I see advertisement of Seagram imperial blue and line say Men will be Men... reminds me about this incident. Just because of this I wasted some money.
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Chiang Mai was among the primary of the new breed of elephant attractions in Asian country that rank the welfare of the animals.
Often acting as retirement and care homes for elephants used within the work or commercial enterprise industries, they supply as natural associate degree atmosphere for them as doable.
While you'll be able to still act with the elephants (bathing them being associate degree particularly standard activity), riding on them is strictly out of the question.
It will cost you 2000baht to 2500baht depends on the Sanctuary. I was lucky!! I met a guy who was working in the Sanctuary and allowed me to go there for 1 hour.
I spent 3 days in Chiang mai and spend 3500₹ recommend this hostel Arch39 Minimal Art & Craft it was not a brainier to stay in this. But you have book it before. Most of the time it all booked. One night stay here is just 455₹.

Chiang mai to Krabi
I took the flight from Chiang mai to Krabi for 3400₹. And the same thing again with bus. 90 baht till the Krabi beach.
I recommend you to stay In funky crab. It's cheap comfortable and with a lot companion.
Railay beach
Railay is one in every of Thailand's most sought-after beach areas.
Located just south of Ao Nang and accessible only by boat, Railay presents a timeless serene world.
In just one tiny ground you will find four attractive white sand beaches, soaring limestone cliffs, viewpoints, caves and a lagoon hidden inside the cliffs.
Tonsai Beach
Get away from it all at, off the Krabi coastline.
Spend your day doing nothing however lazing on virgin sands.
This wonderful cluster of small islands offers breath taking scenery, soft white-sand beaches, coral reefs and a beautiful lagoon.
It’s wherever you'll be able to fancy swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, skin diving, fishing, sunbathing, hiking, and picnicking.

Whatever people told me about Thai massage and what I got was totally different. I enjoyed more what I heard and what I have seen. I think most of the people think that Thai massage is Sex massage I guess they don't know about Thai massage. But I had proper relaxing massage. Okay!! If I talk about Bangkok then there are many beautiful monuments, chatu chak, flower market floating market. It's not just a Red light area. Most of the country has Red light area. But don't make them famous just because they have something like that. It's your own choice. We always find those things that we are looking for. Just because of your own perfection don't spoil the image of the entire country. Every country has something good something bad. On my trip to Thailand I went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Krabi, All these places are really beautiful with amazing view of nature
On The 15th day I took the return flight form Krabi to Singapore.
As we need to understand 3 words when we travel alone. We need to be flexible, calm, instance decision taker and always motivated. Because once you started feeling like you are not motivated and always need a “Back up plan for every plan” Sometime you need go with the flow doesn’t matter wherever you are. Then it gonna be hard to and annoying for travelling.
