One of the finest and most satisfying adventure of my life so far was the time i spent in exploring. Travel and change of place imparts new vigor to the mind.

I with my cool company set a plan to visit Ooty, capital of Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. This is a famous picnic spot and incredible place for honeymooners. Ooty is the mountain journey wends its way through many raising curves and tunnels.

TRANSPORTATION - There are direct buses available from Bangalore to Ooty. The other way to go by bus till Coonoor or coimbatore and take a bus from there. We booked our tickets from Red bus which cost nearly about Rs. 1500 per person. We started at 10:00 pm and reached by morning 7:00 am. For returning we again booked tickets from Red bus which cost nearly same. It started at 9.30 pm from Ooty bus station and reached Bangalore at 4.30 am next day.

After reaching to Ooty bus stand, we hired auto rickshaw which cost Rs. 200 to reach hotel. The view while on the way was spectacular. Auto rickshaw dropped us in our hotel, cost Rs 1500 per day. We spent some time there to overcome full night laziness. Before starting our unimaginable day we had breakfast in one local south Indian restaurant. That was not much big or something but the taste was great. So, now it's time to explore the boundary of the hill station. We booked a full trip cab package from outside the restaurant, cost Rs 3000 for two days. If you are visiting as a group, it is better to book a Cab that will be more flexible and distributed cost across you.

We started from Ooty by 10:00 am to Coonoor at 12:00am. You can go to Coonoor from Ooty by bus as well, but we never tried bus so can't tell you the details. It took 2 hours to reach Coonoor from cab. This was definitely a dream come true for both of us as its marvellous ride, lavish green valley, tea estates and small villages. I didn't took a ride in toy train but recommend all of our reader to definitely take a ride in toy train. The hills of Coonoor are profolic tea country, the variety of tea scattered on the plantation.

So now we took a turn to fascinating spot of Coonoor i.e dolphins nose🐬. It is located at a distance of just 12 kms from Coonoor. It is a wonderful spot where we can enjoy the natural beauty at its best. we spent 2 hrs there in exploring.

Our next spot of this journey is Doddabetta peak. The highest point of the district of 2623 m. One can see as far as the plains of Coimbatore and Mysore, if climate is clear. But it was our hard luck that the day was foggy hence we were not able to see. We enjoyed the heights with some snacks..so, gradually the dawn mets and we finishes our day with slight walk in botanical garden. This is famous garden maintained by horticulture department of government. Garden is full of variety of charming plants. Many different kinds of roses, eucalyptus and several old fossilised trees are living where you can actually depict dreamland......... This how we finishes our day. At last We went to bus stand and caught a bus to return back to Bangalore. I really hope that i have given you sweet reasons to visit this paradise... Trip to Ooty is definitely a best way to recharge your batteries. Till then..Happy tripping!!!!
