Hygiene, self-dependent accessories and security are probably the 3 main categories that we ladies need to think of when planning a road trip.
From my past experience (some wonderful and some that taught me a lot), I’ve tried to compile a list of things that you need to carry in your handbag for a smooth road trip.
Hygiene:
1. Toilet Spray – For the times you need to use a public restroom, you can simply spray on the disinfectant before making contact.
2. Stand and Pee Devices: Why should boys have all the fun?
I am the kind who hates bodily contact of any kind in a public restroom, hence stand and pee device is great for a use and throw experience.
3. Wet wipes and/or tissues are probably my most favorite thing to carry as they’re super versatile. Use it as your makeup remover or a freshener or just when you need to wipe anything!
4. Sanitary Napkin and/or tampons – Why depend on anyone else to have an extra, right?
5. Mosquito Spray and/or patches: Who doesn’t dislike mosquitos? The best way to avoid them sucking your blood is by simply slapping on a mosquito patch or spraying it over the needed areas.
Self – Dependency:
1. Own Entertainment – Be it books, movies or music, you need to carry your own entertainment otherwise you’ll either be subjected to someone else’s taste or bore yourself to numbness!
2. Food: Munchies, chewing gum, nuts – the more the better!
3. Additional clothes – For the times you need that extra layer of warmth or sun protection.
Safety:
1. Multi tool: Having a good multi tool on you at all times can be very reassuring when quick fixes are needed.

2. Maps: Online and Offline maps should be downloaded and kept on your device for all time reference.
3. Torch: Need I say more?
4. Power bank: Incase your phone or any other gadget decides to give up mid way!
5. First Aid Kit: You must have a wholesome first aid kit with all the basic medicines from pain killers to paracetamol. A small kit to handle a small wound could prove to be priceless. Better to be safe than sorry!
