1) Gokarna Beach: Spectacular
Chances are if you live in Bangalore, you have already heard of Gokarna from your friends and family. A small town dotted with ancient temples, pilgrimage sites and of course, the breathtaking beaches. Both local and international travelers flock to the beaches for a much needed break.
You can visit the main Gokarna beach or explore other lesser known areas like Paradise Beach and Om Beach. If you live in the main city, then gather some friends and hop into a car for a fun-filled road trip to this little town.

2) Tannirbhavi Beach: Relaxed
It is one of the nearest beaches near too Bangalore and it is located in Mangaluru. It will not take more than 6-7 hours of drive to from Bangaluru. Make sure sure you make a pit stop here while going towards Goa and it is a quiet and less crowded. It can be a great evening here.

3) Malpe Beach: Hypnotizing
One of the most famous beach near Udupi,, the Maple beach. Make sure you make a visit to St. Marry Island when ever you are going to Maple beach or when ever you are in Udupi. There are plethora of things to do on this beach including water sports, camel rides etc.

4) Auroville Beach: Hidden Gem
This beach is also know as Auro beach, since access to the beach is from Auroville. This is an hidden gem in the Puducherry and great place to spend your weekend. There are plenty of food options, restaurants and shacks on the beach, also this beach is well know in suffers community. It can be good starting point if you want to learn suffering. This one is approx 300 kms from Bangaluru.

5) Varkala Beach: Adventurous
Another of the best beaches near Bengaluru. With cliffs right next to the Arabian sea, this is a perfect place to behold. There is a ancient temple next visit which should on your list. You have a lot of things to do on beach such as horse riding, parasailing, water sports etc. Located in Kerala and can be an amazing road trip from Bangalore.

6) Marina Beach: Naturally Urban
This spectacular beach is located in Chennai, this one is the longest natural and urbanized beach in India. You will find lots of shops selling handmade jewelries made out of sea shells and corals. You will find lots of amazing cafes and eateries on the beach and you must check out some of them. A podi idli is a must try.

7) Mahabalipuram Beach: Picturesque

8) Kovalam Beach: Ravishing

9) Karwar Beach: Underrated One!
Found right beside the national highway, this is another underrated beach near Bangalore. Less crowded, you will surely find this beach a great place to relax. There are a few museums nearby that you can explore as well during your stay. Food will not be a problem either, as the main city is only a mile away from where you will find a number of great restaurants and bars.

10) Elliots Beach: Serene
Edward Elliot’s Beach is another beach that can be found on your way to Chennai. It is actually one of the ends of the famous Marina Beach but still has a significance of its own. It is one of the cleanest as well as safest beaches in Chennai. Both tourists and locals admire the beach and find it a great place to enjoy with loved ones.
