Tosh is a small village located in the Parvati valley and happened to be the last village reached by a motor able road along the river.
With few guest houses, cafes serving good food along with a mesmerizing view, this village is ideal to spend a weekend over in solace. Trekker can do the famous kheer Ganga trek as well from here, which will be ~5-6 hours from this place and is a easy trek as Tosh village is almost the same altitude as kheerganga.
You can find wooden houses with Himachali architecture across the village. Network connectivity is good and you have adequate electric supply as well .
The route to reach this place is via : Delhi -> Chandigarh -> Bilaspur -> Mandi -> Bhuntar -> Kasol -> Manikaran -> Barsheni -> Tosh
The public transport are available in abundance from various places till Bhuntar ( which happens to be en route Manali) and from Bhuntar you get hsrtc buses till Barsheni. Tosh is half an hour uphill trek from Barsheni but if you going on you own vehicle, you can drive all the way till Tosh. Rented cab can be hired from Bhuntar, kasol to Tosh which can cost you approx ₹250 one side ideally.
The place is snow covered in winters as its at an altitude of ~ 2400 mtrs and hence the accessibility is less in the winters. People visiting Kasol, Manikaran should come to this place if they look for less commercialized or peace.
I happened to stay in Hill top Hotel (contact shared before ) at an reasonable price of 500 per night ( double bed) but you can always explore and find a hotel on your own wish. Food at hotel/ guest houses have limited menu and its always better to explore the cafe and catch up with other travelers.
