It is true when people say that Niagara Falls is a wonder of the world.
The sight of the magnificent falls is so stunning that it feels like that one should just sit at the bench near the falls the whole day embrace the beautiful rainbow bridge over the falls and the ever running water flowing downwards.
My trip to Niagara lasted a whole day and believe me at the end of the day it feels like a day is not enough. There is so much to do at Niagara.
Niagara Falls is shared by 2 countries. The USA and Canada
From which side does the falls look better is still a long standing debate. Let's not get into that.
I visited the falls from the Canadian Side.
Some important things to remember
1. How to get there
There are 2 ways to reach Niagara
1. It is through the US side via Buffalo city
2. Through the Canadian Side via Toronto
Normal taxis are available from both the cities thought public transport would be preferable for the ones who want to save the cost.
2. Visa requirements
Visiting Niagara from either of the countries would require you to get visas of the respective country.
Additionally people travelling to Niagara from the USA would also prefer to see the falls from the Canadian Side. That would require the person to complete the formalities and get the required visa.
3. Money
The official currency of Canada is Canadian Dollars however US Dollars are also accepted at most of the places.
4. Language
The language spoken widely is English. After English, French is the second most widely spoken language in the country.
Here I list down some of the most important things you should not miss when you visit Niagara Falls.
1. The Hornblower Niagara City cruise
It's a once in a lifetime experience to witness the force of water when it falls from the majestic Horseshoe Falls straight towards you. The cruise is meant to go as near as possible to the falls. Challenge would be to keep your eyes open at the nearest point.
Charges for the attraction (Approximation).
The charge for a trip is for Adults they charge $35.84 CDN and for Children (6-12 years) they charge $24.64
A similar cruise trip has been arranged from the American side named the Maid of the mist
2. Journey behind the falls
I can't even imagine how they built that. It's simply outstanding to just stand so close to the falls and even witness the current from within the falls. The currents are so strong that when you go through the tunnels to reach the deck water drops through the concrete tunnels.
It's worth a visit

3. Open Top Jet-Boat Ride
Enjoy one of the finest boat rides in the world. Especially because of the location. It is a must do attraction. It feels like you zoom across the rolling waves as your captain shares entertaining commentary, and feel the spray in your hair as you enjoy the ultimate Niagara Falls experience.
Just make sure that people who want to enjoy the ride must be older than age six or taller than 44 inches

4. Zipline to the falls
Imaging ziplining towards Niagara Falls. Just the thought of this makes my heart fill with excitement. The experience was out of the world. Well one of the best places to try this attraction. The View is completely mesmerising. With falls on one side and hotels overlooking Niagara on the other the experience is once in a lifetime.
Charges for the attraction (Approximation).
Approximately 87 CAD
5. Stroll near the falls
This is the best thing we did when we visited Niagara Falls. Walking besides the largest falls in the world with your loved ones besides you is better than any other adventure in the world. An evening stroll is a must. There are tons of cafes around the falls and with live music playing in most of them the environment is also very lively and comfy.
