Finally we have decided the place as Vagamon, Since I have coverd maximum places in Tamilnadu and this time to choose a different place that should be not so long as we travel usually ok weekends.
I have many friends and after asking so many WhatsApp groups and finally 8 members were agreed for this Vagamon trip.
And we have finalized the date as SEP 5 6 and 7 as our holiday and start searching for resorts, as my friend told we can stay in two different resorts so that we will have some different experience. So my friend suggestions I was start searching the resorts.
Finally I found Winter Valley Resort as for first day and Falcon Crest resort for second day stay.
Winter valley resort was a 3 start hotel with swimming pool and a good restaurants and located in a right place at Vagamon. We can call this resort as Misty valley as well, because even during day time we can see the mist crossing our rooms.
We were planned in 2 different cars ( Fiat Linea and Renault Kwid) Linea was started from Madurai with 4 people's and Kwid started from Chennai with 4 people.
Kwid was started on Thursday Sep 4th night from Chennai and Linea was started on Friday Sep 5th early morning and we had decided to meet at Theni. Since Linea took an hour late to reach Theni, those who came in Kwid quickly turnaround and found a waterfalls near Theni called Kumbakarai Falls.
So as starting a trip with a bath in water falls was a wonderful experience and a refreshing one. After a quick bath we started towards Vagamon. After a few Km drive we stopped for breakfast.
After completing our breakfast we started climbing the hill area and still climbing till 12 PM. But we yet to reach Vagamon and enquired nearby and they said we need to travel another 30 km and it will take another 2 hours to reach. Since the road was narrow and wet, so we couldn't go fast. And we called up the resort and asked to keep some food for us. Resort management was so kind and they took order from us.
Finally we reached Vagamon and the resort is still 5 km away, we keep on driving and saw lots of spot without knowing the name, (anyway we need to see the same spot in next day). After seeing so many view points and took few photos, but still it was drizzling there and we enjoyed the climate as well.
And we have reached the resort at 3 PM and directly went for lunch and took small nap after a long drive. We woke up after 6 and came out from the room, for our surprise the resort covered full of mist and we had enjoyed a lot with mist.
Food was excellent and we had a good party at night and had a good sleep. Good Night will see you in next day...
Next day morning we woke up and spent 3 hours in the swimming pool even in the cold climate. Completing our breakfast and we checked out from the resort and we headed towards Falcon Crest resort.
We checked In there and started driving to Idukki Dam as this was in our plan already. After some 3 hours hectic drive ( since hilly drive) we reached Idukki Dam.
We have took our mobiles and camera for some photoshoot at Idukki Dam, but surprisingly they have not allowed even a small electronic gadgets, so we have to lock everything inside our car.
We took the entry passes and they told to either walk for 6 km (up and down) or can get the cab, and we decided to walk, and started walking over the dam and enjoying the dam area. After few KM we all regret that why we haven't book a cab.
We reached one end of the dam and while returning no one is ready to walk, and we spoke to a police officer and get a cab for our return.
And we started return back to our resort and we have reached at 8 PM. We have ordered our food and had another party in our room for the second day. All went good and in next day morning we have checked out and returned to our homes.
