SAD NEWS : Three More Islands in Thailand are Being Closed to Tourists

Thailand’s three most stunning islands are closed due to excessive influx of tourists according to Global News.  In an attempt to hold the most heavenly white-sand beaches and imperilled coral reefs, Thai Government’s step to shut-down Koh Koh Khai Nui, Khai Nok, and Koh Khai Nai is certainly commendable. It may let down thousands or may be millions of tourists, but it is high time to save the endangered marine life and make it more sustainable.

 The report states that the beaches are filled to capacity of 1000 tourists against 70, at a particular time. Sun chairs, food stalls, tour boats, umbrellas have swarmed the islands destroying the natural resources and tainting the environment.

 Swimmers and snorkellers’ lathered with sunscreen not only degrade the ocean water but also account for 80 percent of dead coral reefs. The authorities, in a serious note have announced to close Koh Tachai for infinite times.

But Thailand, home to sundry incredible beaches still will never let down its tourists who love the nature fervently. The remote islands offer the tourists some sense of solitude to soak up in unadulterated beauty.

But the shutting down of these fours Thai island is a forewarning for all to act towards protecting the fragile ecosystems with some reverence. This act will help the environment to recuperate without being disturbed by travellers before catastrophe. After all, it’s not the first county to have wound up its operation.  There are many more in the row- Italian villages sitting over the Mediterranean sea has already declared  to restraint the flow of visitors.

So, it’s high time for all of us to show some veneration for the nature!
