Our memorable 10-day trip to Thailand started off from the capital city of India - New Delhi on the 29th of June - Saturday (a perfect day to start your trip).
DAY 1 (Bangkok):
We reached IGI Airport and looked forward to boarding Nokscoot airlines. The airline is decent enough and offered us a pretty decent start to our trip.
We landed in Don Muang Airport and got express Visa on Arrival (recommended). It costs around 200 thai baht per person but is a relief.
Just after your clearance, you are greeted with tourist shops offering SIM cards at fairly decent prices. We went for 8 day plan with AIS, which again was for around 199 thai baht. We took some cold beverages from a 7 eleven store and were charged to get going.
Make sure you install GRAB, a taxi app offering reasonable rides. We booked our ride and we were on our way to President Park Hotel near Sukhumvit. Here are some scenes from our hotel room:
In the evening, we explored some local markets nearby and had a great time. It was a perfect start to our trip!
DAY 2 (Bangkok):
We took the ferry rides across the Bangkok waters and visited Wat Arun and Asiatique Riverfront mall. It is a must-do on a Bangkok visit. Here are some of our captures:
DAY 3 & 4 (Phuket):
We had a morning flight from Bangkok to Phuket. The airport formalities went pretty smoothly and we were off to one of the most exotic destinations in the world.
We reached Phuket, were blown away by its beauty in the very first glimpse and took a shuttle to Thavorn beach resort which is a splendid property pretty close to Pa Tong beach in Phuket. Check out some of our clicks from Day 3 and 4:
DAY 5 (Koh Yao Yai):
Spotting the next halt after Phuket was very tricky. We wanted to cover another destination before moving to Krabi, and found this hidden gem of island Koh Yao Yai with mentions in a couple of places. We took a speedboat which was 300 thai baht per person and landed in probably in one of the most scenic and unspoilt places in this world. It was just WOW!
The property we had booked here was Santhiya Koh Yao Yai resort and spa. It's probably one of the best property we have ever stayed with, and it surpasses those other 5 star hotels with its shear elegance and traditional Thai feel. Here are some of our memories from there:
DAY 6 & 7 (Krabi Islands):
Finally, it was time to move to the final destination of our journey - Krabi Islands. Again, we took a long-tail boat from Koh Yao Yai pier and landed in Krabi in approximately 40 minutes time and it costed us 200 thai baht per person for this ride.
In Krabi, we stayed in Ao Nang area which is the most happening belt around Krabi and nearest to the Railay as well. We stayed in Krabi Resort and Holiday inn express on Day 6 & Day 7 respectively. Must visits: Railay West and East, Phra Nang caves and beach!

DAY 8 & 9 (Bangkok):
A return flight to Bangkok landed us back to Thailand's hub - Bangkok. It was weekend and some shopping time!
A must-visit in Bangkok over the weekend: Chatuchak Weekend market. This is must must do in Bangkok. We had approximately 3000 thai left to spare and we came back with hands full of clothes and other gorgeous Thailand memories and goodies.
Also, you could explore the Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK and Central World. These are some top-notch shopping centres and malls in Thailand.
DAY 10:
Last day is always the saddest and we were in Suvarnabhumi airport to catch our flight back to Delhi. I wish travelling never ends, but I guess it does. That's what makes it special every time! :)
