We started from Kochi to Katpadi on 24th april 2015. We reached Yelagiri by next morning by 10. You will get bus or auto from Jolarpettai station to Yelagiri hills. There are a lot of hotels in the Yelagiri hills starting from Rs.1000/-.The journey from Jolarpettai to Yelagiri is more interesting with the amazing climate and the view.
There are two trekking paths there in the hills.One the trekking path to swamimalai and the trekking to waterfalls.We opted for the swamimalai. The trekking path becomes more difficult as you climb up, with the steps made out of stone.At the top you get a beautiful temple completely buit upon stone
The next day started with a visit to nature park,which is a place for photoshoots for the youngsters like us.Then the most interesting part of the trip was offroading at wild zone.And the zipline.Evening can be best spend at the artificial lake. You have two options for boating,one the normal family boats and the peddal boats.If you are a fun loving person then choose peddal boats.
In august and september you will get a chance to do paragliding also.So its one of the best weekend getaways in South India. Go for it people !!
