Vellagavi village is about 10 km from the Dolphin's nose, one of the popular destinations in Kodaikanal. The residents of the village do not wear any footwear, so remember to remove your footwear before entering the village. The people are extremely friendly and accommodating. Scroll on to get an insight to our journey :)

Early start - on our way to dolphin's nose

We got late but still kept our josh high

Finally, few moments of solitude at Dolphin's nose

All set to trek down to the Vellagavi village

Ever changing landscapes got us mesmerized

Somewhere along our way to the village

The trail is beautiful , with rocky places , flat surfaces , stairs and places with no defined path at all

The village has provisions to stay for the night, which is highly recommended since covering the stretch to and fro is exhausting

Touchdown

Village interiors ( People don't wear footwear inside the village, so remember to leave it at the village entrance )

Akka doing what she does best - yummiest local lunch

Yummy dosa and yam curry at Akka's place which was a live saviour

To the best black coffee I have had till date

Last Goodbyes to our chef - Akka and her little kiddo

Boy and Lucy who accompanied us throughout

Extremely patient - Our hiking guide - Shiva Anna

The ever changing landscape continues...

Last Goodbyes..
