Kolli hills is known for its prinstine beauty and myths about ghosts and its rich in nature content. It will give you a eye treat and heart filled with joy. Natural lovers and bike riders will love this place.
Kolli hills located in Nammakal district of Tamilnadu at a height of 1300m from sea level. The hills top can be reached by 70 hairpin bends and it will give you goosebumps.
It can be reached at a distance of 63KM from salem, from chennai 360Km and from bangalore 260Km. There private and public transport available from Salem (timely), nammakal and Rasipuram. But if travel in our own vechicle then we can witness the joy of riding in the kolli roads. The road is maintained well and views are awesome.
Kolli is a place that is less travelled by tourist or travellers so its still holds the beauty that is inherited from nature. One can witness the village life, joy of being as a traveller, traffic free & horn less roads, farming and peace around you.
Places to visit in kolli are
1. Arapaleeswarar Temple and Aagaya Gangai (Waterfalls) - 1000 steps have to cross to mesmerize this nature beauty.
2. Mini falls and masila falls.
3. Ettu kai amman Temple
4. Sikku parai view point
5. Botanical Garden.
There are few resorts and lodges to stay. Its neat and good. We not stayed there but visited few lodges.
This trip can be made with friends and family too.
