Taking a quick break away from work. Having a life in Mumbai is really really hectic. The vacation break was planned was to Ooty. This heavenly view we witness every corner was enlightening our soul and so refreshing. I have covered almost all the major tourist places in my childhood, whereas this time was exploring the unseen. The Best Road Trip ever.! I'll share all that places I have covered these 2 days.

March being the start of summer cominbatore was burning us with 44 degrees temperature and pleasingly the temperature in Ooty is only around 10-15 degrees. The misty mountain peaks and pollution free environment truly is bliss. To mention some points about the route, all the way up hill the roads are not really wide enough and the traffic was quite more than what we expected. Soon as we reached the up hill, we can have a pit stop as lot of Fruit vendors welcome the tourist with wide variety of high quality juicy fruits and Nuts. The Hill road on the way is so beautiful with full of Lavender flowers all the way, no wonder why it is called The Blue Mountains <3

Day 1

The first tourist spot we can notice on the way to Ooty is 'Sims park'- A beautiful botanical garden located in Coonoor in the Nilgiris district, Sim’s Park is a popular tourist attraction, with wide spread land and preserves some of the rare and oldest family of trees for different countries of the world. Take a long walk wandering around the garden. Entry fee is only 5 rs.

The next stop towards ooty is the very famous 'Ooty Lake'- one of the best tourist attraction with boating activities and good play area for kids. Don't miss to take a boat and paddle to relax through the scenic beauty of the Nilgiris.

The cold was extremely high and the night was so blissful having dinner in such a view. The Resort is pretty good and comfortable on an expensive note. Location being the major plus.

Day 2

Next day Morning we decided to skip the breakfast in the hotel and started our trip to roam around the city. Not to worry about, there are lot of food joints and restaurants in the market area. The too cliche tourist spot is the Botanical garden and the Mighty Doddabetta. I dint really enjoy these places as the tourist crowd was high, though the view is mind-blowing.!

The best place I would say is the 'Tea Park' which is just on the way back from Doddabetta. Wide area of mountains occupied for Tea plantations and is well maintained. The entire time spent is totally worth it.! Photography lovers can have great shoots in this location. The complete stretch of land visible is full of Tea Estates. Very calm and lush green sights are true rejuvenating. Don't miss out the pure and fresh Tea from the local tea stalls all the way. Also pure quality Tea is available for sale.! Treat for the Tea lovers.! :)

Way back from the Tea park, we reach the Market area have good lunch in A2B. Don't miss out the Freshly prepared 'Homemade Chocolates' in the market. They are super tasty and rich with nuts and raisins. Now we decide to hit the road and take some spots outer area of Ooty. The Cool breeze just brings a freshness to our mind as well as face, you start glowing seriously :)

Some of the major Shooting location area that i covered are shown in the photographs. 'Kellan Marg'- A very very beautiful landscape, very cinematic, green spreads till you reach your sight and lovely horses and goats playing around enjoying the mother nature. Treat for ones eyes.! I seriously couldn't stop jumping you see :)

'Pine Forest'- is the next Best spot we cross which is acres of area fully spread with pine trees so tall and beautiful, giving us the fresh smell of herbs and eucalyptus. Just cant stop keeping your face out of the window. The drive through the pine forest turns on your excitement and reminds about maximum movie scenes. I enjoyed stopping by and taking good photographs.

Day 3

The Check-out day it is.! After some stylish Continental Breakfast, we close our bills at The Hotel. The way back to Coimbatore, we decided not to take the usual route we choose while coming. This was an alternate way - (94.7 km) via Mettupalayam - Kotagiri Rd and NH181 which approximately takes 2 h 42 min. The best route I say.! Dint disappoint me even a minute with the striking views, you can enjoy the entire way down with complete Tea Estates widely spread on the mountains on either side of the road. Beautiful way to wind up the Trip.!
