I had the privilege of staying in Club Mahindra resort, Poovar which my company had tie up with. Spent my Birthday with my family in this beautiful destination. Who says no to beaches!!
We reached Trivandrum by train from chennai and then took a taxi to Poovar, reached the resort around 10.30 AM.
After check in, kids spent time in pool during the day. In the evening went for a backwater tour through the mangroves. After an hour of boat tour, reached the sunset beach.
Spent time in the beach during the picturesque sunset and returned back to our resort.
Took a taxi for a day trip to Thirparappu falls, Mathoor Aquadect also called as hanging bridge in Nagerkoil and the famous Padmanabha swampy temple in Trivandrum. One must wear only traditional dresses to visit this temple and ended our day trip at Kovalam beach
Spent a leisure day in the resort and then started to Trivandrum railway station for the train to come back home
It was a short but serene trip
