This time we were planned to explore the Nilgiris at its finest scenic season usually people were planned to go there during the summer season and it might be crowded so we were pretty sure about the month that we visited there, yes we visited Nilgiris in the month of July it was not a peak season but it was the starting time period of monsoon mostly we prefer the monsoon and winter season to visit any of the hillstation during that time we can inhale the beauty of the place where we have the chance to saw the nature express it's love towards us

Day 1

We had start from Chennai and took Blue mountain express to reach Mettupalayam early in the morning and it was very memorable one to travel along with all of my friends

When we reached Mettupalayam we took cab to reach our day 1 destination it was kotagiri and I had lot of things need to be share that happened during this trip it was a special destination as we were new to explore the place along with the nature surrounded by beautiful estate

Yes we were camping at kotagiri for the very first time in between the tea plantation with the inclusion of trekking program which was conducted by private group, we were joined with them in order to begin our trip and started to explore Nilgiris

We were reached the camp site by 9 in the morning with the traditional welcome drink chai 🍮 followed by breakfast for all of us and the climate was around 20°c and we were supposed to surrounded by misty clouds along with the awesome tea plantation

Then we head towards to start our trek and first place to visit was valley view it was having very beautiful view of some of the villages around kotagiri we could inhale the natural aroma while reach there and feel the unpolluted air it surronds us during this trek we had our bath in a natural private pool and the water was so chill we were like frozen when we took our bath as this was our first trek some of my friends got little nervous to walk in and around rocks but we managed to reach there trekky path is laid in between the coffee plantation so we could saw guava and pear trees between the plantation we took some fresh guava from the nature as it fulfill our hollow stomach.

Then we started to reach out our campsite and we reached there by 12 noon. This trek path was around 4 km stretch comprising of risky rocks we could finish the trek when we have decent physique it was not much complicated to trek in this path while reached the campsite the organisers were cooking the lunch at the mean time we packed the things for the next trek.it was around 8 km stretch for that we need lot of energy to took it forward so waited half an hour to had our lunch and started our trek to the waterfalls near our campsite but it took around 1.30 hours to reach there

During this trek we were walked in between the dense forests and tea plantation also we were threatened by Indian Gaur at some point we escaped from those Gaur with the help of trek guide other wise we were might faced some big drastic problem with those gaurs and then we head towards Catherine falls if was our destination during our trek it was such a cool place to spend with Friends we took bath for a long time over there also please ensure your foot path because we need to walk in a slippery rocks to reach the natural bath tub near to Catherine falls after spending such a wonderful evening in the falls we started to reach campsite it was not easy to walf again for a 4kms stretch so we took a jeep to reach the campsite.

After reaching campsite we refreshed and ready for the campfire which is ready to blown up we waited for the mist to touch our head and then the organisers lighting the wooden logs to start the campfire this was the first time we were all gathered for a campfire surrounded by the misty clouds it was a memorable day for us because we enjoyed to core during that evening.

Day 3

On the final day we didn't roam often,we took a cab to reach Ooty and hired one local tourist guide to complete the site seeing activities there are lot of place for the tourists to roam around in Ooty as I said already we couldn't spend much time on the final day as our boys were so tired so we decided to restrict ourselves to visit two or three places during our third day

Our first preference was to visit pine forest in Ooty but unfortunately it was closed due to some specific reason I couldn't able to recollect it, so we took some time to walk parallel to pine forest in order to inhale the raw clouds in to our body and then we head towards 9th mile shooting spot it was so awesome during that time Misty clouds are moving towards us we stood over there more than an hour to enjoy the weather as well the nature's beauty we took some snap over there and had some herbal chai over there the misty clouds are touching our heads and the drizzling becomes raining heavily so we ran in to our cab and we couldn't go for other places as the rain was not stopped.

So we were planned to go to tea estate in which they showed us the tea leaf processing in which they provide a lot of various tea also they were having their retail shops outside the tea estate to buy the wonderful different varieties of tea leafs

Unfortunately we missed some places like botanical garden, Rose garden,Ooty lake Boating, Doddabetta peak please include these places too while you guys visiting Ooty

As I said by everyone Ooty is having its own beauty to explore please do visit all the places also do the trekking activities in kotagiri it was a different experience that everyone needed.

We booked train from Mettupalayam to reach Chennai on the whole it was an wonderful experience with my friends to explore magical misty Nilgiris
