If I ever want to visit a place again and again, then Maldives be top the list. I always love the beaches and when me and husband were deciding places for Honeymoon, Maldives was our first option and we didn't have any second thoughts. We travelled to Maldives from Chennai and booked our entire package with Srilankan Airways

Day 1

We landed at Maldives and we had our travel agent waiting for us. Maldives comprises of smaller islands which are converted to Resorts. So you would either need to take a boat or fly to the resort you have booked. We were taken in a boat to the Paradise Island where we stayed for our Honeymoon. We reached around evening and relaxed for the day. We had our villa facing the lagoons, so we spent most of the time sitting in the lagoons where the water is crystal clear and you could see all the fishes swimming.

Day 2

We had an early start since we booked for Scuba diving. Had our breakfast and reached the diving centre. We were given the suit, gears, oxygen cylinders and weights. Once we changed into out diving suits, our instructor took us to the small sea area where we were given training for an hour like the signs, how to use the cylinder etc. After training, we were taken into the deep sea. I could barely dive after 10 meters depth and failed miserably at diving. But my husband was brave enough to dive upto 40 meters.

Evening we went for stingray and shark feeding. Stingray feeding was fun, as the stingrays would come get the feed from your hand and swim away happily.

Day 3

We opted for half board so our breakfast and dinner are served in the buffet area. For lunch we explored all the available options in the island. We started our day exploring the island and visiting the lagoons. Evening we had booked for swimming with the Dolphins. We were taken in a private boat to the mid of the sea surrounded by hundreds of dolphins, dancing and playing with us. I love seeing Dolphins at mid sea in their nature habitat, whenever I get an opportunity I would travel to see these wonderful creatures in sea (did that in the UK and Egypt) we were served some evening drinks in the boat and returned back for dinner.

After dinner we watched some fun crab races, where the small crabs are numbered and you could bet on which will win. It was fun to see those small crabs racing with each other :)

I would strongly recommend going to Maldives, if you love the beaches and the crystal clear water, especially the lagoons. We booked our package including flights, stay with half board for around INR 1,20,000 for 2 people in a sea villa which is right opposite to the lagoons. We explored each cuisine for lunch and paid separately for lunch at the restaurants. Dolphin, scuba diving and other activities like Snorkelling, kayaking are all to be paid at individual activity centres. All the transactions would be made in USD, so either you have to carry USD or an international credit card for it. This trip was one of our expensive, but the islands made it worth visiting and if I could get a chance I would definitely go back to Maldives.
