InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort

We planned to go to this beautiful property located on the pristine beach of Mahaballipuram.
There are many resorts in that stretch , we choose InterContinental because of our preference for IHG group.
So we started early morning from Bangalore, reached chennai airport around 10am. Took a cab and left for resort. After around 1 hr reached the resort.
You can also drive from Bangalore. It is a beautiful drive and roads are very nice.
So once we reached resort, we were welcomed in a traditional style and checked in quickly.
We informed about our anniversary and they took a photograph and   circulated among staff so that we can be catered perfectly.

After check in we roamed around a little bit and then planned to go for a lunch at

Took a nap and roamed around property.
They had a high tea arranged in the open area and a cultural program was going on.

Once we came back to room, they had arranged a little something for our anniversary.

We got ready and headed for our special dinner date.
They had a table arranged beside the beach . Food and drinks  served were very nice. And they had a dessert platter especially as  our anniversary treat.

We retired for the night after wishing each other happy anniversary.

Woke up early and went on a stroll to the beach.
Amidst bird chirping and wind blowing, saw one of the best sunrise.

Buffet breakfast at The Melting Pot: Market cafe had almost everything you can expect of a breakfast.
We went to beach again, had a little beach bathing and then headed to swimming pool.

We checked out from hotel around 12 pm and had a great Sunday brunch before heading to sight seeing.
The stay at resort was amazing and they did their best to make our anniversary memorable.
