Chikmaglur, Karnataka – One state many country

It was our team outing. In words, Chikmaglur is just mind blowing. It's just 5-6 hrs journey from Bengaluru. I can say this place is worth more stars than Waynad. Best time to visit is June-October. Weather is equivalent to Ooty. 

We stayed in Chandramukuta resort. Owner is very friendly and he has a lot of enthusiasm to take guests out for a safari. He owns coffee estates and has access to private water falls. Authentic food like Nati koli saru is awesome. 

There are lot of nearby places to cover

• Kudremukh
• Hebbe falls
• Mullayangiri
• Kalasa
• Yagchi water sports
• Kalathgiri water falls
• Kemmangundi
• Ghali kere (pond on hill top) On the way to Baba budangiri.
• Horanadu

One can plan 3-4 days of visit to this place. Most of the roads are not sedan/hatchback friendly. Suv's are much preferred. Off roading terrain is mind blowing.

Trekkers Paradise I can say. Tenting and camping is so good in these terrains.
