1.Dolphin nose view point.

It is a romantic gem in the Queen of hill stations. This famous attraction does justice to its name and offers its visitors a breathtaking view of the graceful Catherine Falls.you can also get a closer view of the falls if you use the telescope (10rs) which is available at the view point.
2. Tiger Hill Cemetery

Constructed in 1905 with distinct Gothic-renaissance architecture, the cemetery was designed with some beautiful flourishes that set it apart from other European cemeteries.
Once an iconic fountain at the cemetery now has a broken statue of a “mourning angel,” overlooking the entrance to the cemetery. The statue was once a part of the grave of John Thompson, who retired from the Madras Survey department. It has now been broken. It is surrounded by tea estate and you might see a few bisons but over all this place has its own haunted beauty. You can click some great pictures in this place
i would suggest to reach this place by a private vehicle or hire an auto rickshaw. You don't have busses plying in this route. Also, the google navigation will show incorrectly. Just locate the place in the maps and select a path and follow the pointer on the map. Also please note that this is not a touristy and it is closed. You need to jump over a broken wall to reach this place. Be aware of reptiles...

3.Lambs rock view point

Lambs rock is on the way to dolphins nose from coonoor. . from the Parking it is a 500mts trek to the top. and there are plenty of monkeys try to avoid getting food materials and be at a safe distance from them. a climb to the top view point will give you stunning views of the planes, mostly mettupalayam. there are three points on the top. First one being the elephant rock, the rock is in shape of the elephants head hence the name. The Second one is the sleeping lady, the mountain looks like a lady sleeping and third one being suicide point is built on the tip of the rock. and view is kind of amazing
4.sims park

This unusual park-cum-botanical garden was developed around the natural contours of the land more than a hundred years ago., Ethnic trees, shrubs and creepers, co-habit with many unusual species of foliage brought in from various parts of the world. Rudraksha – the bead tree and Queensland karry pine, a handsome ornamental tree, are among the many attractions in this park. Sim’s park and the Botanical Garden to gather from the largest repository of temperate plants in India and an important destination for Botanists
the park has a small lake where you can try paddel boating. the parkis in a step manner which might be hard for some to climb.
5.Highfield Tea Estate

The factory also has eucalyptus oil manufacturing unit where you see the process of making oil.and end of all this you can buy tea, oils and home made chocolates
6.St. George’s Church

St George's church is an essential tourists attraction. Constructed in the year 1926, the church is a beautiful remnant of the gothic structure of the British era. It is an archetypal cantonment church with white inlay work . The church is constructed in the ancient style of architecture, with a serene environment. Apart from this, the church houses a collection of paintings and curved interiors. A notable occasion at the church is the Sunday closest to the National Martyrs Day wherein a unique service in honour of our martyrs is held in the church.
7.Catherine Water Falls

Situated in the Nilgiris district, Catherine Falls lets you enjoy a stunning waterfall falling from an altitude of 250 feet. It is a hidden gem in Coonoor and an ideal point for families to relax and rejuvenate away from the monotony of everyday life.
About 7 km away from Kotagiri and 21 km from Coonoor, Catherine Falls offers beautiful views of the Mettupalayam plains, dense forests and the surrounding hillocks. It is a go-to place for a half-day excursion and can be visited from dusk to daw to get to this falls one has to trek about 1.5kms. on reaching the falls you can take a dip in the falls.
8. Crown bakery

a row of cabs parked at its doorstep almost entirely hides the bakery from view. You miss the modest notice that says “Since 1880”, at first. Then you realise it is 140 years old!
In 1880, G. Mohammed Sheriff, for reasons not too clear, travelled all the way from Hyderabad to Coonoor to bake bread in the hills. His son, G.M. Abdul Sattar inherited the business and continued to supply soup sticks, cakes and bread to the substantial British barracks at Wellington. And when Mahatma Gandhi came to Coonoor, he actually visited the bakery. It was on February 2, 1934. It was Sattar's son, Mohammed Sheriff Basha, who ushered the shop into Independent India.
Not just the shop, even the recipes for the baked goodies are more than a hundred years oldt he buns are the very same they baked all those years ago, you can buy masala varkey, salt biscuits and ginger biscuits .
