Taki is a small town in Basirhat district, West Bengal.
Taki has a very good historical background and it was a junction of trade and commerce once upon a time for many transactions during the moughal era.
Taki is also famous for its serenity n calmness, surrounded by nature and the famous Ichamati river .This river connects two countries one side is West Bengal, India and the other opposite side is Bangaladesh.
What to do?
Anyone with friends n family can visit Taki for a day or stay also overnight.
This is a picnic spot also.
Boat ride in the river is a must.
Mini sundarban a place to visit,and many local sideseens like Ghosh bari,major general Sankar Roy Chowdhury ancestral home,etc can be done by hiring a Toto or a car.
How to reach?
By car from Kolkata,taki is only 2hrs,also by train to nearest railway station Hasnabad and then by car or auto ,Toto.
Day outing in Taki is perfect for refreshness.
Along with friends n family,Taki can be visited anytime through out the year and for picnic winter season is preferable.
Not to miss in food is it's sweets which is pure n tasty 😋 specially Rasogolla.
I booked Bishram bagan bari for a day out which has a historical background of zamindars heritage property being converted into a guest house to spend time with .
The hospitality was good and also it's food.
