Note: Do take Swiss pass as it is the best option to travel around Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Chamonix (Mont Blanc) in France. Pass also covers entry to museums, trams, buses, rails and some boats. There are various options available like pass for 3days/7 days/15 days.

DO KEEP A MAP OF SWITZERLAND WITH YOU. You will get it with your travel pass.
Day 2: We had booked our apartment at Leysin which is a fantastic village at the top of the hill near Aigle. The views from our apartment were magnificient and the accessibility is very good. We had to go by a mountain train from Aigle to Leysin which was a fantastic experience.
Day 1: We landed in the evening at Zurich airport, bought Swiss pass for 7 days and stayed at IBIS hotel which is near the airport. Note: Do buy a Swiss pass when you are coming for more than 3 days as it includes almost everything.
Day 3: We went to Lucerne and Mt. Rigi which is also called as the Queen of Mountains. Lucerne is a picturesque city and you can walk around and enjoy its beauty and culture. The classic Rigi Round Trip offers a winning combination of boat, cogwheel railway and aerial cable car rides. This varied excursion to the heart of Central Switzerland makes the perfect day or half-day trip from/to Lucerne. The boat trip on Lake Lucerne is an experience in itself. I urge you all to keep 1 day in your schedule for this.

Day 4: A day trip to Laussane and Geneva would give you breathtaking views, pathway through vineyards, UN Headquarters and Fountain at Lake Geneva. It is as fantastic as enticing it sounds right now. Just get on a train and go to all these cities. Use trams at Geneva and subway at Laussane to visit various points. Laussane has Olympic Museum which houses all the medals and delicately made olympic torches. By this time, you will start loving connectivity, culture, climate and jaw-dropping views of Switzerland.

Day 5: A trip to Zermatt and Jungfrau. The best option is Thun – Interlaken boat and Interlaken – Zermatt train. We took a boat from Thun to Interlaken from where there is a connecting train to Zermatt. Don’t miss the boat ride as it offers some spectacular views along the way. Zermatt does not allow vehicles which run on fuel and only electric cars are available as a taxi. Don’t forget to capture scenic views of Zermatt in the midst of Swiss Alps in your camera.
Day 6: One day trip to Chamonix, France. This journey is also covered in Swiss pass where you have to change the train at Martigny and catch another train. Navigations there are very easy and connectivity is awesome. You wont face any problem.
