Photos are a trifling attempt at capturing nature in all its glory - photos can't show what your eyes see but as humans we try and try more to capture some of these prolific scenes. Some come very close, their photos speak a thousand words; some are not that great. I come in the latter group; I capture photos for memories, memories which might go away from my mind but not from the photos.
Presenting to you - Davos and Zurich. These photos were taken sometime in Jan this year and I was there on work but managed to find some time to click some pics. As with my Malpe and London trips, most of these are taken on the phone.
Davos
Heavy snow when we reached - this is the view from my room.
Somewhere along the way on a sunny day

Davos from the rope car when coming down from Jakobshorn. The Jakobshorn (2,590 m) is a mountain of the Albula Alps, overlooking Davos in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is also one of the five skiing regions of the Davos Klosters Mountains, offering 14 pistes.
Davos - the small town which becomes the epicentre for one of the biggest conferences of the world - The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting

Zurich
The Limmat - Limmat is a river in Switzerland. The river commences at the outfall of Lake Zurich, in the centre of the city of Zurich. From Zurich it flows in a northwesterly direction, after 35 km reaching the river Aare. The confluence is located north of the small town of Brugg and shortly after the mouth of the Reuss.
Its funny how seagulls form an integral part of any photo of a lake/river
Scratch my back please

An old monastery we found with beautiful paintings
Münsterhof (pedestrian zone) - a beautiful historic town square and the jewel of the Zurich city center. One great place to wine and dine and celebrate in the stylish atmosphere of the old city - the Zunfthaus zur Waag, directly facing the Fraumünster church with its famous Chagall windows. An authentic piece of Zurich's history is this house dating from 1315 which is now a fine dining restaurant also. One of the best I have eaten in - I had the fish. You can check the history of this building here.
An amateur's attempt to capture the beautiful city of Zurich.
