Thun, a small town in Switzerland, is said to be the doorway to Bernese Highlands connecting famous tourists spots like Interlaken, Grindelwald, Oeschinen Lake, Lauterbrunnen and so on.
Located at the shore of lake Thun, it's also known for its historical significance, geographical location, culture, beautiful landscapes, castles, cute wooden bridges. Hands down, this is one of the charming towns I've visited.
And here is a glimpse of this quaint town a few years ago, during Fall season!
This town has several monuments that are listed under 'Swiss heritage sites of national significance' that you must visit during your trip.
With easy accessibility from Bern and for its natural beauty, one should definitely check this place. What's more interesting is, this lil town offers river surfing right in the middle of the town. Want to know more, do check out this article.
