This was my first solo trip and it was the best one. I booked a ticket of train costing 115 rs from borivali to Surat by bdts Surat express. Train arrived on 7.30 am and reached Surat at 11.15 am. After arriving on Surat I had petis and khandvi near station which costed me 20 rs.Then I went to the famous gopal locho which was just 10 mins from station. There I had lasaniya locho which costed around 50 rs.
Then I had tea and went to jagdishchandra bose aquarium which is near star baazar adajan rd.From station to aquarium it costs around 150 rs by rickshaw but going by city bus is feasible which is only 11 rs.I reached the aquarium around 1 pm and entry fee over there was 50 rs. Aquarium was amazing and a visual delight to all animal lovers and children's.There was also a preserved skeleton of bryde whale which was washed ashore at Surat long time back.It took me 2 hrs time at aquarium as I was taking pics and videos. Also different varieties of fishes found in Australia and Malaysia were on display. Then I went to see the river front .I went asking directions for river front near aquarium. While asking directions to people I met a biker who dropped me to river front from aquarium.Going by rickshaw out would have costed me 80 rs.There was a chowpatty garden before the entrance of river front. It was a big garden and since it was Sunday it was less crowded. From there I went to dutch garden which was 1.5 kms away from there. By rickshaw it costed me 30 rs.I stayed there for a while enjoying the cool breeze from the river front. After that I took a share rick to Surat station for Rs 15. At station I bought 3 pieces of kesar pista ghari for 170Rs which is a famous sweet specialty of Surat. Then I went to taste the most famous surti ghotala which is a famous egg delicacy of Surat.I went to shubham restaurant for ghotala. It cost me 150 rs which included a half fry and cold drink as well. Then I went to station for returning train. Took a 6.30 pm train general ticket of 100 rs and reached borivali at 10 pm.Since it was my first solo trip it ended very well.It gave me the confidence to explore more places alone. The best things of solo trip are that it gives u the freedom to do explore whatever u want to explore... U don't have to depend on anyone when u plan something.Plus it boosts ur confidence as well.My total cost was around rs 900 which was quite Worth. People in gujrat are very friendly and Helpful.
