Unbound Srilanka- 5 day Trip

With early start of the day headed to Kandy. The drive takes mostly 2-3 hrs but due to unexpected traffic jam we were held back for 4hrs delay to reach Kandy

On the way to Kandy there is an elephant orphanage which is a private centre who manages these elephant . The activities involve elephant ride and feeding them . It's an exciting activity if with kids and as it was first time for I was over thrilled to get on the elephant ride and feed them.

Carrying all the beautiful experience of elephant activity we headed to Royal Botanical Garden . As it was a lunch hour we first  grabbed something to eat before we wander around. This place is a huge park it requires 2-3 hrs to look around beautiful place. They also have shuttle services which take an hour ride around the park, it's a better option if with elderly people .
By the time we winded up this place we were already late to Temple of Tooth Relic.As the temple was closed with disappointed faces we head to the cultural show. It's a beautiful show If you interested to learn their art and culture , don't miss the cultural show.

With some exciting and some disappointed experience , with no regrets we returned to colombo city.

After alot of confusion about the travel guidelines finally land at Negomba were our driver was waiting for us. After Clearing the emigration, surprisingly which  was empty unlike other tourist places head to exit. As we travelled during the Xmas time all through the airport and the Colombo city were all decorated and looked beautiful at night with red and white lights all over city. After checkin the hotel cinnamon red had a relaxing day on day 1.

After breakfast on day one took a ride in colombo city the stop was Gangaramaya Vihara Buddhist temple. The temple is spilt in 2 places one temple resembles the mark of mixed culture of Buddhism and Hindu. The same other part of the temple is located at the lake side with beautiful view looking at the city.

After which  it was just ride around the city of many landmarks Jami mosque, independence day square all, parliament House and parks. As the driver whom we booked was in hurry to catch up with his cams party he dropped us back to hotel . We were already fully charged up to look around we decided to take a tuk tuk to Galle Road Beach for the Sunset.

As first day in the city to end with a happy note we been to cricket cafe restaurant for dinner it's a mini cricket museum for all cricket lovers. Beautiful and a cozy place to have a drink along with your dinner.

With lot of hopes for tomorrow's itinerary we head back to hotel as we need to start the day early to Kandy.

This was the time to say good bye to colombo and head to south province of srilanka many choose bentota but we wanted to relax and do nothing just chill around so choose Hikkaduwa.

You can reach Hikkaduwa in Train or Road, we choose road as we had places to cover up on our way to Hikkaduwa .

There are places like Madu Ganga River which is 6kms wide river which leads to Indian Ocean and it also has 64 small island including the mangroves. There are activities in each island if interested you can spend time but as we were running shot of time we only wanted to do a boat ride and it was a soothing ride in the evening time .

After the boat ride at Madu Ganga we headed to Turtle hatchery close to Hikka town . A place were you learn so much about Sea turtle and also you can take pictures and understand the turtle hatching. They also provide you baby turtles who are ready to go home it's a beautiful experience to see those tiny turtles head to sea . One of the must things to do in Srilanka if you haven't done before.

A day well spent in Hikkaduwa in Hikka by Tranz resort. It's the best place to see turtles and sunsets.
Right outside the resort beach the turtle return for their feed. Also it's best place settle for the sunset

Trip to Galle town, it's a small town with fort sea view and town designed in Dutch building . The campus itself has multiple museum to look around and walk down the lanes of Galle town is a different.
The best of all this is a drive from Hikkaduwa to Galle the route is a awesome ride as the beach is beside the roadway and it's a scenic ride to Galle city.
