After having a great stay in Split, we head for the next stop HVAR. An island 1 hour away from split, we reached there around noon where the scorching heat awaited us. Any other day we would have been mesmerised by the beauty of the place and the Adriatic sea but with backpacks on the back and the front, it was time to head straight for the hostel . A fifteen minutes of hard fought battle against the inclined slope and there we were at our hostel “Dink’s Place”( Don’t get wayward, and come back to the article).

There we were greeted by warm hospitality from our hostess and were served the best drink in the world “ A Cold glass of Water “. After quenching our thirst, we settled our hotel stay amount ,took a tour of the city on the map and collected our room keys. Now it was time to head to the room and give our legs the much deserved rest.

All relaxed , we decide to have herbal treatment for our mind. Once the hot vapours subsided, the green monster demanded food. We ordered from gustico. hr ( free home delivery option in hvar) a pizza and fries. After a very quick chomping session, it was time to head to the sunset beach bar “Hula Hula''. At 6 in the evening the place was packed and the scenery there was insane. The place opens at 2 in the afternoon to 10:30 in the night. The scene there clearly indicated ‘ give hoomans a nice place and they will party hard irrespective if it’s a day or a night. With the sun setting down and clear blue sky along with the Adriatic sea acting as a perfect canvas, it was time to get your phone wallpaper. After quenching our creative hunger it was time to satisfy the belly. We headed over to the bar , picked up our drinks and ran into a spanish group. After a round of introduction, it was time for some fascinating talks. After we introduced ourselves as Indians, the spaniards first question to us was “ How is it going under narendra modi?” For us it was quite a surprise as we were used to people starting to imitate apu from simpsons. This was followed by some trading world discussion between my cousin and Spaniards .Spaniards joked how they despise Indians as they were unable to clear the CFA( Finance competency exam) as Indians keep topping that. After a good talk and feeling really proud to be an Indian , we bid them goodbye and headed back to our hostel to get ready for the ‘pub crawl’.

We reached the hvar port at 10:15 PM, starting point for the crawl. Initially it looked like only 15-20 odd people were coming along in about 15 more odd minutes , the place got full and over 100 people were coming with us for the pub crawl. Seeing the crowd around us it was quite evident that 90% of the crowd fell in the age bracket of 18 to 22. I and my cousin looked at each other and gave us the look of “ Aren’t we too old for this shit?“. Fighting our inhibitions , we were like “(fill in with appropriate slang)” and got on the boat where we would be given unlimited free alcohols so that we make sound decisions throughout the night (‘ pun intended’). This was followed by a visit to the Jazz bar and a final visit to Carpe diem beach which opens up at 2 AM and stays open till 7 in the morning. This is all the information that will get unravelled in here. If still interested to know, ping me at my twitter handle @pranaygoyalIwillstillnottellyou.
