From a miniscule place,
Where mortals stay
I ride,
In to the Himalayas,
Abode of Gods, they say.
Maneuvering through
Hair pin bends,
Steep Ascends and
Tricky Descends.
Crossing mountain passes,
Beautiful plains
Fluffy white clouds
Over the mountains
Treacherous rocky roads and
Glacial water streams,
Beautiful rusty bridges
Taming wild rivers,
Like a vision, out of a dream.
While I ride with
Sun kissed cheeks,
And frost bitten lips.
Wind gushing through ears,
Small flag on my bike flutter,
Rhyming with the loud silencer
Sound of silence I’d say,
Is the only sound I hear
Turquoise blue lakes
Amidst Snowcapped peaks,
Smiling locals
From their windows peek,
Laughing Buddhas
In Serene Gompas
Salvation they seek
Beautiful Sunsets,
Serene Sunrises
Engaging with locals,
Under Starry skies
Beliefs and Folklores,
Found in Galore
New friends found
On the way
Camping amidst nowhere
Homely home stays
Something has changed
Deep inside,
An unknown Fear
That loomed
Now has subside
My body is back,
Where mortals stay
I am still there,
In Himalayas,
I am there, to stay.
Months,
It’s been.
And Still,
I am Mind-lagged
In between
