'Snow Marathon' Doesn't it sound intriguing? To experience that in person or virtually, one must mark March 26 in the calendar. India's first snow marathon will be flagged off at Lahaul, the picturesque mountaineering and skiing destination of Himachal Pradesh.
As per the recent news, the country's first snow marathon has been organised in collaboration with Lahaul and Spiti administration and Reach India.
Key attractions at the marathon
The entire event has been categorised into four different zones:
1. Full marathon spanning for a total 42 km
2. Half marathon where the runners need to cover 21 km
3. Two more categoreis - 10 km and 5 km
Who are the Brand Ambassadors
International marathon runner Kieren Dsouza and 26-year old blogger Prakriti Varshney are the brand ambassadors of the event. They have expressed their belief that the runners across India will definitely experience a whole new world at Lahaul.
Medical Amenities during the Marathon
During the event, two modern life-saving ambulances along with the entire team of doctors and paramedics will be ready to face any medical emergencies. This arrangement has been made in collaboration with Mohali-based Fortis Hospital, the medical partner for the event.

The snow marathon is a historic race where runners from all over the country will participate and compete with each other. The team hopes that the snow marathon at Lahaul will be an incredible training ground for such challenging events globally.
