So, it had been a while that I had any chances of travelling post COVID pandemic hit the world. I did plan a few trips but could never execute the plans. In the meantime I got posted to a remote location in U.P with a very few officers around me. Soon I started finding solace in my work. All my days were dedicated to achieving some random work goals that I set for myself. Days passed by and suddenly I received a message from the HQs that I had to travel to Spain for some official work. It was a very short notice. I hurriedly packed my bags and rushed to Delhi. Finished all the formalities and soon I was on a flight to Sevilla, Spain.

Those four days in Sevilla were the best I had in recent times. Sevilla is a small town and sometimes also referred to as the "Pearl of Andalusia". Located in the south western part of Spain. Seville is approximately 2,200 years old and has a different vibe altogether. Located in Spain it is way different from Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Ibiza. It has Mediterranean climate throughout the year. The best times to visit would be December & April.

Since I was on an official visit, I did not worry about planning the itinerary, stay or travel. I just enjoyed what was offered. Sevilla has number of world heritage sights like the Royal Alcazar, Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, Plaza de Espana, Torre del Orro, all thanks to its rich history. I also had a chance to visit an 18th century museum dedicated to Flamenco dance and artists. I utilised this opportunity to witness Flamenco dance as well.

The locals were very helpful and joyous. There was loads of music, dancing and love all around. After my return to India, its been a month now and god I miss that place.

This read might not help you in planning your itinerary to Spain but yes it will compel you to include Sevilla in your plans.

FYI - GOT episodes were shot in the Royal Alcazar and Star Wars: Episode II has scenes from Plaza de Espana.
