Hola from Seville! What an incredible start to my Andalusian adventure! Today was all about soaking in the rich history and stunning architecture of this vibrant city.

First stop: Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world! Standing in awe of its towering spires and intricate detailing was truly breathtaking. And of course, I couldn't miss the chance to climb the Giralda Tower for panoramic views of the city.

Next up was the Alcazar of Seville, a UNESCO World Heritage site with its stunning Moorish architecture and lush gardens. Walking through the palace rooms felt like stepping back in time to a magical era of sultans and kings. I discovered these sites with this guided tour to make the most of my time.

Lastly, I explored the Plaza de España, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. The intricate ceramic tiles and beautiful bridges made for the perfect spot to relax and people-watch.

Today I hopped on a train to Cordoba for a whirlwind day of exploration. I booked a guided tour with getyourguide for the day. The highlight was undoubtedly the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, a mesmerizing blend of Islamic and Christian architecture. Walking through its forest of columns was truly surreal.

I also visited the Synagogue, one of the few remaining medieval synagogues in Spain, with its intricate Mudejar-style decoration. And the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos was a fascinating glimpse into Cordoba's royal history, with its beautiful gardens and Roman mosaics.

Granada stole my heart with its enchanting blend of Moorish and Spanish influences. Exploring it with the a guided tour of the alhambra was required since it was no longer possible to get public tickets. The Alhambra Palace was an absolute dream, with its intricate carvings, tranquil courtyards, and stunning views of the city below. The Generalife Gardens were a peaceful oasis, perfect for strolling and admiring the lush greenery.

I also ventured up Cerro del Sol hill for panoramic views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains. And stumbling upon the Royal Chapel was a delightful surprise, with its ornate tombs and beautiful altarpieces.

My final stop in Andalusia was Malaga, a vibrant coastal city with so much to offer. I explored the Old Roman Theater, marveling at its ancient ruins and imagining the performances that once took place here.

The Malaga Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle offered more stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. And watching the sunset at San Andrés Beach was the perfect way to end my week-long adventure, with the sound of waves crashing against the shore and the sky ablaze with color.

And there you have it, my whirlwind week exploring the wonders of Andalusia! From the historic streets of Seville to the coastal beauty of Malaga, this region has stolen a piece of my heart, and I can't wait to return someday. Hasta luego, Andalusia! ✨
