Ever Since I've come back from my short trip to Singapore, everyone has been asking about places to visit in Singapore, how was it, what to keep in mind while going there etc. Here I am writing about the best places to visit in Singapore you can cover in 3 days but I would suggest at least 5 nights in Singapore if you want to cover it properly.
Day 1: Little India, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer
After landing in Singapore, the first thing I did was to go to the taxi queue and take a cab from there. It was a smooth and seamless process. Although, airport is well connected to public transport but I preferred taking cab for enjoying the views and also because i had 2 suitcases.
It took me 30 minutes from the airport to reach my hotel in Little India. I stayed at Hilton Garden inn but honestly, could have selected a better hotel and location(Around Clarke Quay). The hospitality at the hotel is something that everyone looks forward to but in this case, I did not quiet like it.
Reached the hotel at about 2 PM and ordered our lunch. After an hour, relaxed for 2-3 hours and left for Gardens by the bay and saw the most beautiful light and sound show ever! It was so serene that everyone was lying down and looking at the sky and experiencing the magical lights!
After attending the lights and sound show, went to Singapore Flyer and experienced beautiful lights in that area! Serene it was!
Day 2: SENTOSA: UNIVERSAL STUDIOS AND SILOSO BEACH
I regretted starting my day late and reaching Universal Studios at 12:30 without express entry pass for Universal Studios. If you want to explore the most of Sentosa in one day, you must must reach Universal Studios at 10 AM with express entry pass so that you do not have to wait for the long queues with waiting of as long as 100 mins per ride!
It was an amazing experience and we (me and my husband) took almost all the deadly rides without express entry but definitely regretted because there was no time left for Siloso beach and other activities which we could have done(Go Cart, Bungee Jumping).
In an ideal scenario, you can plan your day like this:
10 AM: Reach Universal Studios with express entry pass
3PM: Leave Universal Studio, take Sentosa express, go to Merlion Park, Singapore landmark and major tourist attraction, located at One Fullerton, Singapore, near the Central Business District (CBD).
7PM: Leave from there and go to Siloso beach, watch the light show " wings of time which happens at 7:45PM and 8:45 PM every night.
After that, go to some cool cafe and chill there with a bottle of beer and some thin crust pizzas!
11-12PM: Leave for hotel and take a good night sleep:)
DAY 3: SHOP AND CHILL :D
This day should be left for places like Orchard road, Mustafa Complex(24 hours open), Cycling during the day. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned shopper, Orchard Road, a 2.2km shopping belt, is the place to visit in Singapore for retail therapy.
Evening at Clarke Quay and Riverside!
If you're wondering about places to visit in Singapore at night, Clarke Quay and the surrounding Riverside area presents Singapore’s most exciting NIGHTLIFE SCENES, as well as a handful of the most amazing restaurants good for dining by the waters' edge during the evenings. Clarke Quay have been converted into chic pubs, restaurants and nightclubs which is gonna make you go crazy about the whole aura of that area!
I would personally suggest you to take out 2 more days and cover more places to visit in Singapore like Night Safari, Casino in Shoppes Mall in Garden By the bay(Free entry for foreigners if you take your passport) and C'est La Vie-Rooftop romantic restaurant, right beside the sky deck observatory in Marina Bay Sands!
Hope it was helpful:) Inbox for any more queries!
