Youthful yaksom

Yaksom is a historical town in west sikkim. It is 1780 mt. From sea level.

From gangtok to yaksom 119.5 k.m, it will take approximately 4 to 5 hr by car. Yaksom is a beautiful place it is the gateway of kanchenjunga national park, surrounding by lash Green forest, High hills.

This place serves as the treak base for the famous Dzongri and Goecha la pass treak. This trekking trail is covered by green forest the flora of this national parks includes oaks , maples, willow etc and what about founa? 550 spices of birds, snow leopards, musk dear, red panda, himalayan black bear etc

Apart from this there are many places you can visit or treak , you can go dubdi monastery, kanchenjunga falls, khecheoparli lake, and many more, village people are sweet and simple,

I stayed at Mr. Chungda sherpa's homstay, Mr chunda is extremely nice person his wife is very sweet by nature and also a very good cook. I have been there for 4 days it was fantastic experience.

Mr chungda is an organiser of goecha la pass treak , he is a fantastic bird guide too .

You can go from baddogra Airport to and take a cab from Gangtok then from there to yaksom , otherwise the hotel or the homestay where you going to stay they will arrange everything . There is many options to stay.
