The Ridge is a fine stretch of road near to the Gangtok town. It takes around 20 minutes to walk from MG Marg. The Ridge is flanked on one side by the White Hall, which is the Chief Minister's Residence, and the other side by a gate with a pagoda-like top.
The White Hall consists of British architecture which is built in 1932 in memory of the first British Political Officer Sir John Claude White. He was the founder of Gangtok. It was once used as a venue of important functions.
The Ridge Park is along the Ridge road and is covered with flowering plants and shrubs. There is a traditional Sikkimese style Gazebo here where visitants can rest and soak in the nature around.
Near to Ridge Park is the Flower Exhibition Center which holds the seasonal Orchid show. The place inside the Flower Exhibition Center is very small, but it has some astonishing collections of flowers of many different types. This is the best place for flower lovers. The best time to visit is between March to June when the flowers are in full bloom.
Some flowers like Blue Venda Orchids, Celosia, Chrysanthemum, Paps etc are present here. All the flowering plants are labeled so that you could know the name of it. A small footbridge is present over a pool that you can walk across. This place is great for photography amongst colorful flowers and shrubs.

No admission fee for Ridge Park.
The admission fee for the Flower Exhibition Center is Rs. 10/- per person.
Timings:
9:00 AM to 5:15 PM daily.
It may take around 2 hours to cover both the Ridge park and Flower Exhibition Center.
