In here I brief about planning, photo hot spots (and unique ones too), timings and tips about shooting at these destinations in a bid to help the travel photography community.
This one features - North Sikkim.

1. Naga Falls
On the way to Lachen village. Right by the road.
Reason to visit : A super tall cascading fall
Best Time : Post monsoons, day time
Photo Tips :
‑ Weekdays are better to avoid rush
‑ Carry polarizer and NDs to render long exposures
‑ Both wide angle & mid range zoom lenses will help capture unique POVs

2. Gurudongmar Lake
The majestic secluded lake tucked at a whopping 5400 meters.
Reason to visit : Serenity and Scale !
Best Time : Avoid winters
Photo Tips :
‑ Permits are needed beforehand and are for a short duration of about 2 hrs from the last check post
‑ Altitude really gets real here so stay warm, stay hydrated, carry light snacks and avoid exertion/smoking. Walk/Climb slowly.
‑ Get down the shores to frame from up‑close
‑ Carry polarizer and NDs to render long exposures
‑ Both wide angle & mid range zoom lenses will help capture unique POVs

3. Lachung Village
Gateway to Yumthang valley. Beautiful morning light and calm village life.
Photo Tips :
‑ Don't miss the morning frames with telephoto lens
‑ Start early to Yumthang valley
‑ Tall waterfall called Amitabha fall before the village is worth the pitstop too

4. Yumthang Valley
Majestic pasture land. Greens and Whites galore.
Reason to visit : Get lost in nature

‑ This vantage point that offers first view of the valley, all kinds of frames possible while you appreciate the serenity and scale
