My first snow in Sikkim India

This is the capital of sikkim and basically its the center point and you have to visit all the spots from here.

its a magnificent Tibetian Monastery build in the 16th century.

its lay bare the wonderful varieties of mountain flowers on different kinds. a must watch!!

its the spot where you have to stay to visit Yumthang, Zero-point and Katao. its surrounded by gigantic snow capped himalayan range.

its know as the valley of flowers. but to see those over twenty-four species of the rhododendron along with primulas, poppies, iris and other flora you have to go there between april to may. i went there in march so all i saw is snow and snow and some more snow!

zero point remains covered by snow throughout the year!!

katao is know as the switzerland of india and yes it is!!people don't usually visit this place but this is like heaven with crystal clear blue eyes, snow covered ground, fresh air and white pine trees (since they are covers by snow).honestly it was actually hard for me to believe that katao is a part of our hot and humid india.

its the border between china and india. i went in march and the temperature was -8 degree centigrade. you have to get a permit first to visit this place from gangtok.

Major "Baba" Harbhajan Singh was an Indian army soldier who died near the Nathula Pass. He is revered by soldiers of the Indian army as the "Hero of Nathula" and the army men have also built a temple in his honour.

its a glacial lake at 12,400 ft. its surrounded by snow covered mountains. in winter this lake complete freezes and you can actually play football on it
