Rumtek Monastery is a melting pot of rich tradition and culture. It has a traditional three stories Tibetan gompa style design and is famous for its Kagyu teachings. The best time to visit this famous monastery of Gangtok is in November to behold the beauty of its scenic surroundings.

This place was built by Tashi Namgyal, the king of Sikkim (1914 – 1963). I recommend to visit this Point during the morning to experience the sun’s golden hues.

This park is known for its rich wildlife. Kanchenjunga National Park covers an area of around 1,784 sq km is a high-altitude public park situated in Yuksom. Lots of Wild creatures like Snow Leopard, Great Tibetan Sheep, Red Panda, Musk deer and Bharal can be spotted here.
Best time: It is a smarter choice to visit here in summer for a better experience and to explore the national park.

Tsomgo Lake is situated at an altitude of around 12,310 feet above sea level. Witness the cold blue waters of the lake reflecting the amazing pinnacles of the Himalayas. You can also enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature through trekking, photography, and yak riding.

Timing: Sunrise to sunset

It is a combination of Ban + Jhakri where Ban means Forest, Jhakri means Priest. The quiet encompassing and the smooth white water falling down will calm your senses and let you absorb the serenity. The sounds of the water are fairly clear and engaging and can be heard from a long distance.
