1. France is the most visited country in the world, with a whopping 90 million international visitors per year.

2. Kumbh Mela: Around 220 million devotees visited Kumbh Mela in 2019 over a period of 50 days, creating a world record. Apart from this, various other Guinness World Records were made during this time. It is also visible from space.

3. USA has the biggest rail network in the world, with an operating route of over 250,000 km. It is followed by China, Russia and India.

4. Forbidden City in China is the most visited monument in the world, with over 17 million visitors in 2018 alone. It was constructed in 1420 A.D.

5. The First World Hotel and Plaza in Malaysia has set the world record for the largest hotel in the world with over 7,351 rooms.

6. Canada has over half of the world’s lakes. Total number of lakes in Canada are estimated to be 31,752. Around 9% of Canada’s surface is covered with fresh water.

7. In 2016, Air India set this record by flying continuous from New Delhi to San Francisco. All women crew was led by captain Kshamata Bajpayee and Shubhangi Singh.

8. France has more time zones. Even though it is much smaller than Russia/ United states. France has 12 time zones, followed by Russia & USA.

9. Papua New Guinea hold this title with 840 living languages. It has around 11.86% of world languages, followed by Indonesia with 742 languages.

10. On 25th January, India celebrates National Tourism Day. Government has decided to dedicate this day to raise awareness of importance of tourism in the economy.
