Day 1

Odisha, when we hear this word, we certainly have a specific image in mind. One is Lord Jagannath and other one is the lush green forest cover it has. One of the most spectacular land in Odisha is Sambalpur. When you start reaching out to Sambalpur from Deogarh you will find a beautiful Badrama Wildlife sanctuary. Ushakothi and Badrama Wildlife sanctuary makes the most out of the land covering a staggering number of square kilometres giving a vast ecological ground to thrive many species of land animals in the planet.

Elephant is certainly one of the most common animals in these wilderness.  However they stay in deep dense forests, they often come to nearby streams and rivers to quench their thirst. Even if we couldn't get any chance to meet these big creatures, we certainly found a beautiful Watchtower and a small water reservoir close to it. And God those reflections of dense forest cover on those water was just mesmerizing. The water level was low, the shear depth of the forest making it quite invisible from the outside world, makes it a quintessential getaway destination for a lovely cold dip in a rainy day.

Beautiful Reflection in the dense Forest

It filled our soul. The nature, dark clouds, some thundering chatters and our banters. It was all worth it for an amazing Weekend Ride.
Although the dense forest roads are quite unexpected to be honest, in a positive way, because of the watch tower actually. But more surprising was there were no one in a Sunday afternoon. We found the place to ourselves and had a great time.

Just a few problem is the plastic pollution is everywhere, please travel responsibly. We need nature, nature don't need us. πŸ’š PEACE.
