How I visited the Roman Zoo

Tripoto

In my previous article, I wrote about a day trip to the Rome Zoo with my son. While the zoo is small, it has a great play area for kids. The play area is designed in the shape of an ark, complete with swings, benches under shady areas, and water fountains. You can also find toilets and picnic areas, as well as a gift shop. You can also visit a cafe near the entrance to enjoy a meal. The restaurant, however, is a bit more expensive, but the kids won't be complaining.

The Rome Zoo is located in the heart of the city. The city was founded by the lupa, a legendary god of wisdom. In ancient Rome, many exotic animals were brought and slain in the Colosseum. They are even featured in city fountains and church frescoes, and you can buy postcards with photos of them. But the city's relationship with wild animals has changed in recent years.

The Bioparco is Italy's oldest zoo, opened in 1911. The zoo is set in the historical Villa Borghese park. The zoo is a great day trip for families, photography enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for an hour or two. In fact, I've visited the zoo four times since my visit, and each time I've been amazed at how well it caters to children.

You can visit the Rome Zoo on the northern edge of Borghese Park, on tram line 3 or 19. It's also easy to walk there from the Spanish Steps, and it's well-signposted throughout the park. The Rome Zoo is open throughout the year, with most hours running between 9am and 5pm from March to November. The Zoo also has lots of activity parks where your kids can spend time.

The Rome Zoo is one of Europe's oldest zoos. It opened its gates in 1911 and has been impressing visitors ever since. The zoo was once known as the Villa Borghese botanical garden. Its goal was to be an educational facility and a recreational facility, but as time went on, it grew into a full-fledged park dedicated to conserving endangered species.

I was particularly impressed with the free-roaming peacocks. In fact, it's possible to even attend a gladiator school. I was also able to take a break from my studies and visit the Rome Zoo with my son. The animals were particularly active during the heatwave of August 2020. And as a bonus, you'll also be able to interact with some of the other beautiful creatures, including butterflies and flamingos.
