Rohru - ( janglik village - dayara thach 6km )
It was 6:30 am at my friends home in rohru and finally we all six friends were all set for chandernahan after spending two get together nights in rohru. Rohru is 108.2 km far from Shimla. Regular buses are available at this route. But coming from your own vehicle is much appropriate for this trek because there are very few buses available at rohru janglik route.
We reached janglik at around 11 am. We had breakfast in between . Roads after chirgaon is a little pain for a driver but so does the adventure means. We met our 7th friend at tangnu. Tangnu village just comes before the janglik village.
Now roads after tangnu is compatible for 4×4 vehicles. So just after 500 mts ahead from tangnu we found a perfect place to park our vehicle and from there on we started our trek.
There are home stays available at janglik to spend the night if you reach late in the evening. From here you can also take tents and sleeping bags on rent for the trek if you don't have your own. We also took two tents of 4 person which costs us 1000 rs per day.
Now it was the time to leave janglik and reach dayara before 4 pm so we could pitch our camp before the dark.
Trail after janglik was quite simple just as normal trails in the mountains little ascend , through forest's, along with little water streams.
one hour later we saw Meadows and forests as well. Trail after here was really easy and quite surprising. Landscape were changing very quickly, sometimes we were walking into the forest and sometimes we were walking on the Meadows .
Mineral Water straight from the glacier is also available after an every half an hour walk. So there is no issue like carrying water.
It was 2 pm and now were not too far from dayara thach and also we were tired and our stomach also got empty so wentook a rest and made Maggie.
After lunch we continued our trek and soon there was a sharp turn in the trail and this turn was magical because this turn suddenly changed the entire landscape.
So yeah we could see dayara in front of our eyes.
You'll See many turns like this one on this trek further.
we reached dayara around 4:30 pm. It usually takes 3 hours to reach dayara from janglik but we were chilling too much on the trail so we took so much time to reach here.
After admiring such stunning views we started to pitch our tent. After pitching the tents we got divided into two groups. First group would bring woods for born fire and other group would make dinner. Both groups did the good work.
And we spent an amazing night after a long time.

Dayara to litham ( 3.9km )
We woke up at 7 in the morning. Waking up in the wilderness and coming out from the tent is that feeling for which i crave a lot , not like usually we came out from the four walls to see same old neighborhood.
We did light breakfast and continued our walk towards litham. Now after every turn landscapes were changing like we swipe pictures on Instagram.
These amazing landscapes still burn the fire in my heart to go here again. Today we had a lot of time because reaching litham would take only 2 -3 hours and trail is also super easy. So we walked like tortoise. So how we spent the day hours? Let me tell a small story.
Would you believe that if would say that it took us 3 hours to make our lunch. This happened because we made our food on wood fire and the woods we got we're not dry and some were wet due to rain fall.
Here we wasted our time just taking sun bath and trying to make food.
Walking after for one hour after lunch we reached here.
Walking on this beautiful trail was really peaceful.
Around 4 pm once again that magical sharp turn arrived and this time we could see litham in our front of eyes. Way to buran pass was also clearly visible from this point. Waterfall at the end was attracting us like a magnite but there was another waterfall which falls from chandernahan lake saved us from going to that waterfall.
If you are going to buranpass pass you have to go straight and if you are here to see chandernahan lakes take left turn from litham towards nearest waterfall which is also in the left side.
If you also want to see such stary nights go here in sep.
This picture still gives me goosebumps. For the very first time in my life i was seeing such night sky. Milky way visibility was very high that we could see milky way very clearly.

Litham - chandernahan lakes - litham - janglik - shimla
This day was the most tiring day of our chandernahan trip.
At 8 am we started our 300 metres inclined climb towards chandernahan lakes. It took us one hour to reach first lake of chandernahan.
at this time lakes we're not so big. After every 15 min of walk were could see more lakes.
lakes were not so big at this time of the year.
We kept walking to see next one.
Lakes weren't so big still landscape were amazing.
And we moved to 5th lake and decided this to be last because lakes were not as big as we thought.
we spent one happy hour here. Sitting alone in the middle of the lake was very peaceful. I also jumped into the lake. Water was really cold i could barely dipped just one time and it was enough. This was the best experience for me on this trek.
Now it was the time for heading back to litham for having breakfast. Boys were now hungry.
We went back, had breakfast and started walking towards janglik and we reached janglik at 4pm.
We had spent two nights in rohru so we were suppose to reach shimla in the same day.
At last this trek is easy anyone can do this very easily if you have the will to do it.
Please don't litter anywhere. This place looks amazing without any wrappers and waste. Clean your campsite before leaving and Be a responsible travler.
Budget for this trek from shimla is around 3k person (you can adjust your budget by bringing your own tents)
