The convergence of three great rivers of Ganges, Yamuna and the Saraswati defines the Triveni Ghat. Triveni Ghat is the most sacrosanct bathing spot and considered the holiest spot in Rishikesh. Maha-Aarti is performed here every day in the morning and night. The aarti has its relevance and is said to hold special significance to those who attend it. Devotees also release small oil lamps on boats made of big leaves and release them in the holy water.It is organized and perfomed by vedic prist. Aarti starts with chanting of some mantras, prayers and dhup-aarti .The dhup-aarti spreads the positivity in the surrounding.
